Follow the resources below to finish setting up your new account.

Choose the right account

Coast Capital offers a range of day-to-day banking solutions including chequing, savings, and credits cards with benefits to help set you up for financial success. Visit our Everyday Banking page to find the account that’s right for you.

Fund your membership shares

Once you set up your account, fund your membership shares with an e‑transfer, direct deposit or payroll deposit. From that first deposit, $5 will go towards a Coast Capital membership share—a one-time investment that gives you a say in how we do business via the Board of Directors. 

Log in to online banking to get started.

Activate your debit card

You will recieve your new debit card in the mail in 10 business days. You will also recieve a temporary PIN in the mail separately. Once you have both, there are a few options to activate your card:

  1. Call the Automated Card Activation line Toll-Free at 1.866.517.7714
  2. Call the Advice Centre at 1.888.517.7000
  3. Or, visit a branch for assistance

Choose a new PIN you’ll remember and complete a transaction like a balance inquiry, withdrawal, deposit, POS purchase, or PIN change to finalize the card’s Active status. Contactless payments will decline if a transaction using your PIN is not first completed.
