Surrey, B.C. – Coast Capital Savings today announced that they have received certification as a B Corporation (B Corp), recognition that the credit union meets rigorous standards of social performance, transparency and accountability.
B Corp certification measures a company’s social and environmental performance in detail through the lens of five key impact areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers. With the formal designation, Coast Capital Savings becomes B.C.’s first full-service financial institution to join a community of more than 2,500 Certified B Corps from 50 countries and over 130 industries working together toward one unifying goal: to redefine success in business.
