Within the first 60 days after account opening, complete one of the following criteria.

  • Add an eligible payroll or direct deposit2 Your direct deposit must be the same direct deposit coming from the same payee for 3 consecutive months. This may be your payroll, pension or government payment. and maintain the same payroll or direct deposit for 90 consecutive days or more

    OR/AND
  • Make a deposit of at least $4,000 in your chequing account and maintain the $4,000 balance daily for 90 consecutive days or more

Switching your banking to Coast Capital is easy, and we’ve given you time to complete the eligibility requirements to ensure you get your bonus.

Here’s when you can expect your cash bonus, which will typically be deposited to your New Account via electronic funds transfer within 60-90 days of Coast Capital confirming that you have fulfilled the qualifying criteria listed above. For example, see payout schedule below:

If you create an account during one of the months below and start welcome referral bonus criteria within first 60 days; 60-90 days following criteria completion, you'll get your cash bonus between;
March 2024 August - October 2024
April 2024 September - November 2024
May 2024 October - December 2024

Your payout will depend on when your friend or family member starts their offer criteria.

To get up to $400, within the first 60 days following account creation, set up and maintain;

If you signed up without the provided referral code, you will still be eligible for a cash bonus, if you meet all the eligibility requirements. However, your friend will not receive the referral bonus.

No, you must sign up online using the code your friend provided.

  1. Log in to digital banking through a computer or our mobile app.
  2. Select from the menu, Account Overview, then Download Void Cheque and select the account you want the void cheque for.
  3. Click the Export button to download a PDF file containing your void cheque. Save or print this PDF to provide a digital or physical copy to your employer.

I already have an account with Coast Capital, can I open a new one to get the bonus?

Eligible payroll or direct deposit transaction codes include the following transaction code types; Payroll: 200-207; Pension: 230-233, 310-312, 315-316; Govt Payment: 313, 318, 600-607; Gig Payroll: 450 or deposits from employers approved by Coast Capital (Doordash, Skip the Dishes, Uber, Uber Eats, Lyft, Avon, Youngliving, BC Housing, and Public Service Pension Plan) will qualify.
