Bob is a seasoned executive and corporate director who contributes his keen understanding of member-focused technology, financial expertise, communication skills and governance experience to his role as Chair of Coast Capital’s board. Bob also serves on the boards of the Rocky Mountaineer and the Institute of Corporate Directors and was previously on the board of Central 1 Credit Union.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Bob works with a number of non-profit and community organizations. He is the Board Chair of Ballet BC, the Board Chair of the Chris Spencer Foundation, and an active member of Social Venture Partners.
Bob is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of B.C. and received his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Prior to focusing on board and advisory work, Bob spent 18 years with Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, where he held several executive positions including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategic Development Officer.
Previous NextAs an outstanding leader in the financial services sector, Calvin has a proven record of accomplishment in strategic planning, customer experience, capital raising, new market development, regulatory issues, and technology trends. This experience has positioned him well as Coast Capital’s President and CEO, and board member.
Before joining Coast Capital, Calvin held a wide variety of roles across the financial services industry, including President of TD Waterhouse Canada; Co-founder, Director and Managing Partner of QTrade Financial Group; and President and Managing Director of Assante Corporation.
Calvin holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carlton University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Level 3 Candidate.
An experienced senior executive with national organizations operating in highly regulated businesses, Charlotte brings a focus on member-centricity, youth and the diverse needs of the community to Coast Capital’s board. She has served on both public and private boards for the past 15 years including Halton Health Services, Postmedia Networks, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, Acadia University and numerous early-stage companies. She is the Board Chair of Horizn Inc.
Charlotte volunteers with several organizations in an advisory and advocacy capacity to help business start-ups, women and young entrepreneurs build the next generation of successful Canadian leaders and companies.
Prior to working with Microsoft, Ms. Burke held numerous senior executive roles with Bell Canada and led the Company through three major technology transformations including the launch of digital cellular, the expansion of broadband internet and the introduction of internet-based TV. She has a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University and Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Acadia University. Charlotte holds an Institute of Corporate Directors designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Gigi has an extensive track record of serving British Columbia communities as a senior executive within the public sector, a governance and legal professional, and as a past director on several public and not-for-profit boards. She previously held senior leadership roles at TransLink including Chief Operating Officer, Interim CEO, and General Counsel & Executive Vice-President Corporate Services.
Gigi is on the Board of Directors of the British Columbia Automobile Association and the Transportation Investment Corporation. Her passion for the community includes serving as Board Vice-Chair and Chair of the Governance Committee on the Board of Directors of Union Gospel Mission and as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and Advisory Committee for the Centre for Business Law (UBC Peter A. Allard School of Law). She previously served on the boards of Consumer Protection BC, Commissionaires BC, and Boys and Girls Clubs of South Coast BC.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and has the ICD.D designation from the Institution of Corporate Directors.

Susan is a seasoned Corporate Director and is currently the Audit Committee Chair of Infrastructure BC, a provincial Crown corporation and procurement advisor for major infrastructure projects in B.C. She is also the past Chair and Audit Committee Chair of the Royal Canadian Mint and former Director of the Mutual Fund Dealer’s Association. As a community leader, Susan remains committed to serving on the boards of non-profit organizations, most recently as a Director and Audit Committee Chair of the Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative, a sustainable reforestation initiative and as Director and Finance Committee Vice Chair of the Beach Grove Golf Club.

Jerome previously served as Chief Executive Officer to Bank of New York Mellon Canada, a post he held during the 2008 financial crisis. During this time, he also acted as senior advisor to the Canadian Government on regulatory and stimulus measures designed to safeguard the Canadian economy.
Jerome is a trusted advisor to boards and investor groups on complex transactions and turnarounds. He brings a record of launching and accelerating companies across various sectors including e-commerce, software, financial services and fintech.
He holds designations as CPA, CA, CFA and a Master of Business Administration from York University. A recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, Mr. Dwight has also been recognized by The Canadian Lenders Association as one of the Top 25 Lending Executives in Canada.
Throughout her career, Valerie has combined a strong commitment to the business sector with a passion for community service. Currently she is the Executive Director for Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver. This puts her at the helm of all aspects of community outreach, programming and funding for the organization. Valerie previously worked internationally with The World Bank in multiple jurisdictions.
Valerie has served on numerous corporate and non-profit boards including BC Hydro, Powerex, BC Women’s Hospital Foundation and The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs. Valerie is currently on the Finance committee of Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club and is serving as board member for the Molly Towell Perinatal Research Foundation.

Nancy is a professional corporate director and former financial executive who brings strategic, operational, financial and executive leadership expertise to Coast Capital’s board. During her 19-year career with Seaspan ULC, the last 12 of which were as Chief Financial Officer, she was responsible for leading finance, information technology, risk management, supply chain, security, corporate communications and managing large capital projects.
Nancy is currently the Chair of the Board of Governors for the University of British Columbia. She previously held volunteer leadership roles with youth sports organizations and has campaigned in support of multiple health charities, most recently BC Women’s Health Foundation.
Nancy is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of B.C. She has received several awards for her professional and community leadership including CFO of the Year, B.C.’s Most Influential Women in Finance, B.C.’s Most Influential Business Leaders and Association of Women in Finance Peak Award for Board Leadership.

She has led global work in human resources, organizational development, strategic planning, operations and IT management as the Executive Vice President, Corporate Resources at Teekay Corporation and a Partner with Western Management Consultants.
With experience on over 25 private, public and non-profit boards, Lois understands the importance of corporate social responsibility and corporate sustainability in board decision making. She currently serves on the Asia Pacific Foundation and BCAA Boards. She is a community leader in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion.
Lois holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from the Asia Pacific International University, a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business, and is a Fellow in Board Governance from the Canadian Board Diversity Council. She has been recognized with many awards including Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100, YWCA Women of Distinction, BIV and BC Business Women of Influence and the BC Medal of Good Citizenship.
Previous NextAndrew is an experienced senior administrator, educator, lawyer and public servant. He served as President and Vice Chancellor of Simon Fraser University from 2010 to 2020 and was a professor in SFU’s School of Public Policy. Prior to joining SFU, he was a professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria where he served as Dean from 2001 to 2008. He was an elected Member of the BC Legislative Assembly from 1991 to 2001, holding numerous cabinet portfolios and gaining a deep understanding of provincial and federal policy and decision-making.
